Qualifications

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an Automation Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity in St. Louis, MO. This role provides an opportunity to apply automation and technical problem-solving skills to improve processes and support the technology environment of one of our client partners.

Position Overview

The Automation Analyst will optimize and automate processes within the IT organization to reduce manual effort, improve operational reliability, and support efficient service delivery. This role will be responsible for key components of the enterprise endpoint and imaging environment and will collaborate with the Service Desk and other IT teams to develop, implement, and support automation solutions.

This position is fully on-site in St. Louis, five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the enterprise PC imaging process using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), including evaluating and implementing a next-generation imaging solution.

• Administer and support the KACE System Management Appliance for ticketing, inventory management, patching, software lifecycle management, and reporting.

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions, with a strong emphasis on PowerShell, to reduce repetitive manual tasks and improve Service Desk efficiency.

• Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes through automation and process improvement.

• Collaborate with Service Desk and other IT teams to implement automation tools and solutions.

• Provide training and technical support for new tools, imaging processes, and automation solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation related to automation, imaging, and IT processes.

• Troubleshoot issues and analyze processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience developing scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell.

• Experience with automation-enabled platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, UiPath, or similar technologies.

• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, enterprise network environments, and Azure fundamentals.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate processes and develop practical solutions.

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability and willingness to work fully on-site five days per week.

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or JavaScript.

• CompTIA A+ certification.

• Experience creating technical documentation and process guides.

• Experience with enterprise endpoint management, PC imaging, or deployment technologies.

• Experience providing technical training or support to IT teams.

Compensation & Equal Employment Opportunity

The base range for this contract position is $25-$55 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
