Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 1–10 years of experience, with strong data analysis skills and knowledge of DeltaV, Rockwell PLC/HMI, and compliance systems such as Veeva Vault.

Qualifications

The Automation Engineer supports automation and controls systems within a regulated (GMP) operating environment, applying an engineering background (Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial) to automation/controls activities. The role requires availability to work or provide support to a 24/7 operation.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Education: BS in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial).
• Experience: 1–4 years of experience with demonstrated learning agility, or 5–10 years of proven experience in a similar automation/controls position. Salary commensurate with experience.
• Computer Systems Validation: Computer systems validation experience in regulated (GMP) operations.
• Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills (Excel and alarm management/reporting tools such as Logmate).
• Problem Solving: Logical, systematic approach to problem solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities based on business needs.
• Communication: Strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Availability: Available to work or provide support to a 24/7 operation.

Preferred

• Automation Systems: Experience and knowledge of DeltaV, Rockwell Automation PLC/HMI, and instrumentation (smart and conventional) is highly recommended.
• Alarm Management: Prior experience with alarm management or rationalization studies (e.g., ISA-18.2 / EEMUA 191 principles) is strongly preferred.
• Change Control: Experience managing change controls within an electronic quality system (Veeva Vault or equivalent) is preferred.
