Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join our team in the United States. You will work with PLCs, automation, and robotics to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and systems on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications include an associate degree or technical certification in Electronics/Automation and hands-on experience with PLC programming and electronics maintenance. You will document schematics and perform preventive maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, or a related field is required.
Proven experience with PLCs, automation processes and/or robotics is required.
Familiarity with PLC programming and simple programming routines is expected.

Responsibilities

Document, identify, and organize electronic, electric, and other schematics.
Perform day-to-day electronics, general electric, and pneumatic repairs for all manufacturing equipment.
Support test equipment maintenance and repair.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic PC boards.
Calibrate electronic instrumentation and equipment.
