Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support our manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical and automation equipment across our facility, focusing on PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and conveyors.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in similar roles, strong schematic reading skills, and experience with Allen-Bradley automation. This role offers a stable, four-on/four-off schedule and opportunities for growth within a leading

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; trade school certification in Electrical Technology or related field.
Minimum of 3 years in Industrial Electrician roles in manufacturing.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Diagnose and repair PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, conveyors, and control systems.
Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and control systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, wiring diagrams.
Maintain and update PLC programs and maintenance records.
Install, maintain and repair motors, MCCs, switchgear, panels, lighting, distribution equipment.
Support continuous improvement projects to increase safety, uptime and efficiency.
