Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Ohio to perform electrical and mechanical repairs, run shop machinery, and troubleshoot PLC systems.

The role emphasizes proactive downtime reduction, safety, and reliable operation across industrial equipment. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years in industrial maintenance, and may hold a 2-year electrical degree or technical school credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 2-year Electrical Degree a plus
• Technical School Degree a plus
• 5+ years’ experience in process improvement; PLC troubleshooting and repair; Industrial electrical and mechanical repair; general industrial facility maintenance
• Able to troubleshoot and solve problems and determine a course of action
• Fosters a team environment by the ability to influence others within the department

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties independently with minimal supervision in a timely, proficient and well organized manner
• Completes projects with minimal guidance; proactive to minimize downtime
• Implements reliability improvements and uptime enhancements
• Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical devices; dismantles and repairs components
• Sets up shop machinery (lathe, drill press, grinders, band saw, cutting torch, welder)
• Proficient in PLC programming, editing and ladder logic troubleshooting
• Sources supplies and tools for new installations or upgrades to electrical cabinets and components
• Installs or repairs hydraulic and pneumatic valves, manifolds, solenoids and related equipment
• Inspects circuits and wiring for safety and compliance
• Maintains inventory of parts and requires paperwork upkeep
• Fabricates using welding techniques (stick and MIG)
• Uses hand and pneumatic tools to modify or repair parts
• Operates forklift and hydraulic platforms as needed
• Adheres to Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines and attends 40 hours of annual training
• Maintains clean and organized work area
• Performs other duties as assigned
