Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year manufacturing experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares assembled wax patterns for dipping by washing clusters and inserting hanger T-bars in sprue plug or bolting to plates; loads wax clusters onto load station; interfaces with computer systems for cluster information and basic robot operation.
• Monitors automated dip process of robots; maintains dip and sand levels, monitors temperatures and viscosities; reports any equipment malfunctions or product damage.
• Cleans dip room and equipment of ceramic buildup, sand and other debris.
• Prepares processed molds for melt out and firing by removing from plate or T-bar manually or with a power unit; places mold on mold cart.
• Mixes and maintains ceramic slurries per supervisor instructions; tests slurries using Zahn cup, hydrometer, thermometer; records data.
• Performs miscellaneous duties including moving carts, weighing clusters, taking samples, replenishing sand, and reporting issues.
• Operates power equipment: forklift, platform lift, barrel Dumper, cowles mixer, diaphragm pump, hoist, air ratchet, impact wrench, jack hammer.
