Job summary

Nelnet, Inc. is seeking a Process Automation Developer to design, build, and support automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce risk. The role collaborates with Engineers and Business Process Analysts and supports ongoing optimization of automation workstreams.

The position requires Python experience, data pipeline familiarity, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with some in-office collaboration within the United States.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of development experience in Python.
• 1+ years of experience working with front- or back-end data environments, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and/or data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports technical automation solutions, using a variety of methods, tools, and platforms.
• Continuously improves and refines existing automation solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to team members as needed.
• Executes assigned automation tasks and projects independently once scoped by an Engineer.
