Job summary

BizFirst is seeking an Automation Developer to support the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of the Secretary, Working Capital Fund program.

You will own automation that streamlines billing, disputes, and approvals with full audit trails in a Google-centric environment (Sheets, Drive, Apps Script, AppSheet, BigQuery) and optional Microsoft Power Platform transfer. The role requires hands-on implementation of automated cost models and billing cycles, with a disciplined change-control

Qualifications

Hands-on implementation experience with deployed cost models and automated billing processes.
Experience automating financial/transactional workflows with approvals and audit trails.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end automation of the five-day billing cycle reduction to under one day.
Develop AppSheet apps and automation bots for dispute management.
Build orchestration, notifications, and audit logging using Google Cloud workflows or Composer.
Codify DOT-approved business rules with change control and versioning.
Instrument metrics to measure automation gains against baselines.
Produce workflow documentation and support UAT and government re-performance.
