Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions supporting federal financial management operations.
• Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved efficiency.
• Develop automated workflows supporting: financial approvals, data validation, reporting processes, reconciliations, notifications and alerts, document management, and business process tracking.
• Create solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI integration.
• Automate manual financial processes and improve operational workflows.
• Support integration between financial systems, enterprise applications, and reporting platforms.
• Develop workflow solutions that improve audit trails, data accuracy, process visibility, and compliance tracking.
• Collaborate with financial analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and document automation needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and automation solutions.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and implementation support for automated processes.
• Develop technical documentation, including process flows, user guides, configuration documentation, and SOPs.
• Monitor automated solutions and resolve issues impacting performance or functionality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline federal financial operations.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, testing, demonstrations, and release management.

The Automation Developer will design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions that improve financial operations, reduce manual processes, enhance data accuracy, and increase operational efficiency. This role will support the automation of financial workflows, reporting processes, data movement, approvals, and business operations across enterprise systems.
