Job summary

Van Meter Inc. is seeking an Automation Design Engineer to design and implement automation solutions for manufacturing clients. This role partners with Solution Architects to meet client goals and optimize production through advanced control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and related automation technologies.

The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, travel to customer sites, and adherence to automation standards while delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with automation systems and programming preferred.
• Ability to design control systems and automation solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and team members to gather information for system designs.
• Travel to customer sites may be required.
• Analyze processes to recommend improvements and new technologies.
• Prepare competitively priced solutions and maintain automation standards.
• Present designs to stakeholders and support sales teams.
• Research new technologies to meet market demands.
