Job summary

PACIV in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Technical Estimator to support automation, controls, instrumentation and validation projects. You will help define solutions, develop project scope, and assist in delivering proposals from concept through execution.

The role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, and operations teams, reviewing specifications, and coordinating with vendors to gather pricing and technical data. This position offers broad exposure across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in automation, controls, instrumentation, or CQV.
• Ability to read specs and engineering docs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for automation, controls, instrumentation, and validation projects.
• Review project specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and operations teams to develop technical solutions and project proposals.
• Work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information.
• Support project planning efforts and help identify the best technical approach for client needs.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support projects across manufacturing, process automation, life sciences, and industrial environments.
• Participate in client meetings and industry events as a technical resource.
