Job summary

Brady Corporation is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Controls and Repair Specialist to oversee installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of automated manufacturing machinery and facility control systems. You will be the primary technical expert keeping production running efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, diagnosing complex system failures, programming PLCs/HMIs/VFDs, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance/controls experience.
• Strong NEC knowledge and NFPA 70E safety protocols.
• Proficient with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PC-based diagnostic software.
• Shift: M-F 6am–2:30pm with overtime and occasional weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and mentor junior technicians to build troubleshooting skills.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control failures.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment.
• Calibrate and repair sensors, actuators, and control loops.
• Interpret electrical drawings, ladders, P&IDs, and manuals.
• Assist in designing and commissioning new automated control systems.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities in the CMMS.
