Job summary

ACEMCO Incorporated in Michigan is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing systems. You will support Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams and help minimize downtime.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in industrial controls, experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, RSLogix), and a technical associate degree. The role offers hands-on learning, teamwork, and a path to advancing plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial controls within manufacturing.
• Experience in metal stamping, fabrication, or automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, panels, wiring, sensors, and VFDs.
• Maintain, calibrate, and update ladder logic for production improvements.
• Install and configure new I/O modules, sensors, and VFDs.
• Provide technical support to Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Train operators and junior technicians on basic troubleshooting and safety.
