Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks an Automation Technician for a manufacturing client in Lebanon, TN. You will troubleshoot and repair PLC/HMI, robotics, and electrical systems while supporting program updates to meet production needs.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on automation experience, CAD skills, and ability to optimize machine performance, with collaboration across Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience programming automation systems (PLC/HMI) and robotics.
• CAD experience for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC, HMI, robotic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to keep automated equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Program, modify, and maintain PLC and HMI applications to support production requirements and improve machine performance.
• Support robotic systems through troubleshooting, teaching, adjustment, and optimization to reduce downtime and improve output.
• Diagnose machine faults using electrical schematics, ladder logic, technical manuals, and diagnostic software.
• Install, configure, and maintain sensors, encoders, VFDs, servo drives, and other control devices, including machine startups, commissioning, changeovers, and validations.
