Job summary

CelLink in Georgetown, Texas, is seeking an Automation & Controls Technician to support a new mega manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot automated equipment, work on PLC/HMI diagnostics, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and vendors on upgrades and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities include installation support, root-cause analysis, and detailed documentation to ensure safe, reliable operation on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in automation, controls, mechatronics, or related field.
• 2+ years supporting automated manufacturing equipment and controls.
• Hands-on troubleshooting PLC/HMI faults using diagnostics tools.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret I/O status for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and automation issues on PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, and networks.
• Use schematics and diagnostics to identify faults and restore safe operation.
• Assist with installation, startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and ramp activities.
• Investigate recurring failures and participate in root-cause analysis to improve uptime.
• Perform component replacements, wiring modifications, and functional testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and share knowledge with teammates.
