Job summary
Pillar Innovations, LLC in Grantsville, MD, is seeking an Automation Controls Technician III – Electrical & Automation to support diverse projects across shop, office, and job sites. Qualifications
- 5+ years progressive experience in electrical, controls, automation or robotics
- MD or WV Electrical Journeyman license is required
- Valid driver’s license required
- MSHA Electrical card required or willingness to obtain within a year
- Experience reading and interpreting manuals and electrical drawings
- Willing and able to perform hands-on work related to programming and automation controls
- Ability to understand and interpret scope of work for specific tasks
Responsibilities
- Lead installation of conduit and wiring, tubing, sensors, etc.
- Wire a variety of electrical control panels, motors, and other devices
- Perform calibrations on instrumentation such as pressure sensors and load cells
- Work safely with voltages from 24VDC to 480VAC (single phase and 3-phase)
- Interpret and mark up electrical drawings and documentation for custom machines
- Configure controls components
- Coordinate with Purchasing to order materials and ensure availability for projects
