Job summary

Guardian Glass in Corsicana, TX is seeking an Instrument and Controls Technician with a safety-first mindset. You will maintain automated glass production lines, troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring quality output.

Responsibilities include monitoring process parameters, performing line changeovers, and mentoring junior operators. A technical degree and PLC/robotics experience are preferred, with focus on uptime and safety

Qualifications

Associate/Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology
Two+ years of Electrical/Electronic/Controls troubleshooting experience in manufacturing or military environment
Experience reading electrical schematics/blueprints
Experience using electrical test devices (ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters)
Experience in PLC systems, including ladder logic
MS Word and Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor automated production lines and plant equipment
Start up/shut down equipment, perform line changeovers and product grade changes
Monitor process parameters and adjust controls to maintain specs and throughput
Inspect products for defects and coordinate with quality/engineering for nonconforming items
Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting; coordinate complex repairs with maintenance team
Maintain production, maintenance, and quality records and participate in shift handovers
