Eaton Corporation is seeking an Automation/Controls Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (6:00am–2:30pm) in Sherman, TX. The role focuses on maintaining and improving automated equipment, PLCs and HMIs, with emphasis on Industry 4.0 initiatives to boost OEE.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, PLC programming experience, and a high school diploma or GED. Expect safety-focused work and collaboration with engineering and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a focus on automation and controls.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position; candidates must be based in the Sherman, TX area (within 50 miles).
• No relocation benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and predictive maintenance on automation equipment and associated systems (turrets, punches, fiber laser, automated storage towers).
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with engineering and ensure compliance with procurement specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Identify and implement Industry 4.0 IoT solutions to support OEE metrics on critical equipment.
• Interface with OEMs to procure critical spare parts and minimize downtime.
• Maintain equipment PLCs, HMIs, and backups; update CMMS with maintenance records.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and PLC/HMI upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
