Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Controls Engineering Tech to provide technical engineering support for processes and engineers. You will act as a technical expert in the assigned area, maintain CNC programs, robot programming, and ensure cycle times are met.

Responsibilities include training operators, establishing loader points for automated lathes, assisting with maintenance and start-ups, and driving improvement projects to optimize assembly processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, G-code programming, assembly automation, leak testing, robotic loading and unloading.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert in assigned area.
• Maintain CNC programs and processes and any program changes.
• Maintain robot programming and any program changes. Ensure robots are operating properly.
• Ensure appropriate cycle time is maintained.
• Provide training to operations for tools, grinding, balancer, change-overs, gauges, chucks.
• Establish loader teach points for automated lathes (i.e. Fuji & Murata).
• Adjust robot teach points.
• Assist maintenance with repairs when needed.
• Assure proper preventive maintenance is completed.
• Assist manufacturing engineers with new job start-ups and problem solving process (Green Belt tasks).
• Produce trial run parts on new job start-ups.
• Implementation of improvement project.
• Trouble shoot assembly processes
• Maintain or improve cycle times for assembly processes
• Other duties assigned as needed
