Job summary

Dauch Corporation seeks a Controls Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment in our manufacturing environment in Auburn Hills, MI. You will assist with design, installation, and commissioning of controls systems for CNC mills, lathes, shapers, and forge presses.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting down equipment, reading schematics, using test equipment, and supporting engineering on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Assist with design, installation, and commissioning of controls.
• Navigate ladder logic with AB and Siemens systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of down equipment.
• Navigate ladder logic. Allen Bradley and Siemens.
• Work with 24 DC to 480 volts AC.
• Use test equipment such as a multi-meter, megger, phase rotation meter, and oscilloscope.
• Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems of CNC mills, lathes, shapers, and forge press controls.
• Learn Keyence laser software and 2D barcode software to make adjustments.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Nachi robots for recovery, point adjustment and program change.
• Understand some aspects of project related design, installation, and commissioning.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits / equipment.
• Assist with general parts research, as necessary.
• Analyzes and resolves machine and conveyor problems.
• Establishes or adjusts work processes to meet production schedules.
• Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Able to drive a forklift, scissor lift / articulating arm boom truck.
• Work with Engineering on any process and 10 foot circle improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.
