Job summary

Grande Cheese in Juda, WI seeks an Automation & Controls Technician to lead PLC/HMI programming and drive automation projects across cheese and whey operations. You will be the site expert for control systems, mentoring technicians and improving reliability and production performance.

Ideal candidates bring a 2-year degree in electrical tech or related field and 5+ years in maintenance with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and Rockwell software.

Qualifications

Two year/associate degree in electrical or related field, or equivalent experience.
Five years of maintenance experience with automation and controls.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, Allen-Bradley systems.
Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, PID control, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Lead PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Drive automation projects from concept through implementation.
Serve as site expert for control systems and electrical equipment.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve reliability.
Mentor maintenance technicians and develop technical skills.
