Job summary

Amtec Solutions Group (ASG) in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an Automation Controls Specialist to lead electrical and pneumatic design, programming, testing, and installation for diverse projects. You will travel to customer sites as needed and support field service on existing installations.

The role requires 5+ years in automation, PLC/HMI programming, and strong communication skills to work with teams and customers. A valid driver's license and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PLC and/or robot programming languages.
• Excellent analytical skills for design, programming and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• 5+ years of automation experience
• PLC and HMI programming experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a team player.
• Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, robots, VFDs, servo drives and vision systems.
• Perform field service on existing equipment and systems installed by others.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to implement automation solutions.
