Moseley Technical Services, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks an Automation Controls Specialist to manage automation projects from order receipt to installation and commissioning. You will design control systems, program PLCs/HMIs, test equipment, and provide field service.

The role requires 5+ years of automation experience, PLC/HMI programming skills, and the ability to travel up to 15% (SE U.S.). U.S. citizenship and a clean background are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation experience.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs.
• Proficiency in PLC and/or industrial robot programming languages.
• Strong analytical skills applied to the design, programming, and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• Ability to travel approximately up to about 15% (primarily southeastern U.S., typically 3-5 days at a time)
• U.S. Citizenship required and a Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass strict background screening (no felony convictions)

Responsabilités

• Test automated equipment and control systems prior to installation.

• Perform field service on previously installed equipment.
• Troubleshoot and service automation equipment installed by other manufacturers.
• Diagnose electrical, controls, programming, and equipment performance issues.
• Support customers during equipment installation and field service activities.

We are an Alabama manufacturer providing solutions to manufacturers and service providers throughout Huntsville and the southeastern United States. Industries supported include aerospace and defense, medical, steel, nuclear, automotive, and research and development.

The Automation Controls Specialist will manage assigned projects from receipt of order through completion of installation. This position supports electrical and pneumatic design, controls programming, equipment testing, installation, troubleshooting, and field service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned automation projects from receipt of order through installation and completion


• Develop electrical and pneumatic control system designs


• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, VFDs, servo drives, and vision systems


• Test automated equipment and control systems prior to installation

Estimated Salary: $100,000-$120,000 with full benefits
