Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking an Electrical/Automation Technician to provide automation controls support in a fast-paced baking facility. You will use Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs and HMIs, troubleshoot electrical and industrial control systems, and lead small teams to develop engineered solutions.

Applicants should have an EE degree or equivalent, 3+ years in automation, experience with Rockwell software, AutoCAD preferred, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

• Experience with Rockwell software and electrical control systems.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills preferred.

The posted salary range reflects the range the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual starting salary will be determined based on internal pay equity to promote consistency and fairness across comparable roles, while also considering the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide automation controls support to a highly automated and fast paced baking, or distribution facility.
• The position will require experience with the latest versions of the Allen Bradley family of PLC's, VFD's and HMI's/OIT's to be used in conjunction with a strong understanding of electrical controls systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, PC's, Robotics, and Controls networks.
• Review key plant metrics/KPIs and equipment data to identify potential areas for continuous improvement then lead a team to develop an engineered solution
• Provide electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls support to the maintenance department

What We Will Need From You:

• Provide leadership and, or training to one or two other automation technicians.
• Promote a strong teamwork environment
• Supports without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes & are Priority #1.
• Work requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English in order to understand and follow work and safety instructions.
• Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach job assignments and perform the tasks required.
• Worker will be exposed to all hazards of machinery and equipment in an operational baking environment
• This position is not a relief/fill-in Supervisor for Maintenance Supervisor absence

Education and Work Experience:

• EE Degree, or equivalent
• Three, or more years' experience in the Automation field
• A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
• Equipment specific knowledge may be required based on location
• Strong experience with the following software packages Rockwell Controls Software
• AutoCad (Preferred)
• Microsoft Office
• Strong overall electrical knowledge and experience with electrical and industrial control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and effective team building skills a must
• Experience in a food processing plant is a plus
