Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in automation, industrial controls, electrical systems, or technical sales support.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for automation and control products, including selection and troubleshooting.
• Partner with outside sales during customer visits to provide automation expertise.
• Assist customers with PLCs, VFDs, firmware updates, and other automation products.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for select electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate product information and availability.
• Stay current on emerging automation technologies and trends.
• Assist with technical product training for customers and internal teams.
• Become a trusted advisor to improve customer productivity through automation.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support for automation and control products, including product selection, troubleshooting, and application guidance.
• Partner with outside sales representatives during customer visits to provide automation expertise and recommend solutions.
• Assist customers with PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), firmware updates, and other automation-related products.
• Support product commissioning and startup activities for select electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to ensure accurate product information and timely availability.
• Stay current on emerging automation technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Assist with technical product training for both customers and internal sales teams.
• Become a trusted advisor by helping customers improve productivity through automation solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred. Associate degree with relevant automation experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation, industrial controls, electrical systems, or technical sales support.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, industrial controls, and automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and coworkers.
• Comfortable working directly with customers while collaborating with internal sales teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general technical software.
