Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial automation platforms is preferred.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or similar systems is preferred.
• Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, and start-up activities is preferred.
• Proficiency with industrial programming software, networking technologies, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, OPC, and related technologies is preferred.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and commission PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS applications for equipment and systems.
• Create and maintain software functional design specifications, control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and programming documentation.
• Generate, modify, and validate control system software for assigned projects.
• Configure communication networks and protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, OPC, and other standards.
• Assist FAT, SAT, and performance testing at shop and customer facilities.
• Provide field assistance, oversee control system installations, and troubleshoot start-up issues.
• Collaborate with Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of system controls.
• Travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, and field locations for commissioning, troubleshooting, and support activities.
