Job summary

American Woodmark is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support electrical, mechanical, and control system maintenance for our automated production lines. You will keep equipment running safely and reliably by performing preventative maintenance and promptly addressing issues.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of mechanical and automation maintenance experience, can read mechanical prints and electrical schematics, and communicates effectively with team leads and engineers.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanical and automation maintenance experience.
• Experience reading mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
• Safety compliance and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical controls including motor starters, relays, control wiring, VFDs, sensors, and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, bearings, seals, and gear drives.
• Read diagrams, manuals, and blueprints for maintenance tasks.
• Support Preventive Maintenance program and process improvements.
• Communicate with manufacturing teams and management.
• Assist engineering projects for new equipment installations.
• Follow safety policies including lock-out/tag-out.
