Job summary

American Water is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead Automation & Control Systems programs in Indiana. The role focuses on secure, reliable operation and ongoing modernization of plant and process controls across the state.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Finance to plan, budget, and deliver CAPEX projects, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and education of staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with automation and process control systems is desirable.
• Project management and budgeting skills are a plus.
• Strong collaboration across departments to implement system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review automation & control system performance to ensure secure, reliable operation.
• Provide planning, day-to-day support, project oversight and alignment with state-level strategies.
• Assist in CAPEX recurring project budgets and modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate with Operations and Functional Departments to execute master plans for automation & process control.
• Lead education and training initiatives for staff on automation technologies.
