Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist (Starship) to design, develop, deploy, and manage automated production systems. You will commission PLC/HMI/SCADA applications and create electrical schematics for high-reliability manufacturing as part of a ground-up automation effort.

Responsibilities include laying out control panels, auditing processes for efficiency and safety, and drafting SOWs for contractor work while supporting production needs and on-site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation and controls systems.
• Experience with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and manage automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning.
• Design and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications in a high-reliability production environment.
• Create and update electrical schematics and control panel layouts; ensure NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliance.
