Job summary
George E. Booth Co., Inc is a family-owned industrial automation company seeking a full-time Automation Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will design, program, and troubleshoot Rockwell-based PLC control systems, develop electrical schematics, and support SCADA configurations. Occasional on-site commissioning and up to 60% travel locally are required, with opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or 4+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Rockwell software.
- Perform FAT and SAT according to company standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop control system architectures.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Assist in SCADA system design and configuration including FactoryTalk, Ignition, and ICONICS.
- Provide technical support to clients and participate in on-site commissioning, start-up, and training.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in automation and control systems.
- Willingness to train less experienced engineers.
