Job summary

Amcor LLC is looking for an Automation Controls Engineer to define and govern automation solutions across manufacturing environments. This role involves designing control system architectures, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring project management standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, over 5 years experience in automation, and familiarity with Rockwell and Ignition systems. Benefits include flexible time off, medical plans, and a retirement savings plan with company match.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in packaging, food, pharmaceutical, or high‑speed manufacturing environments.
• 5+ years of experience/knowledge working in Automation, Robotics, AGVs/AMRs, IoT, and industrial networks.
• RIA robotic safety training and certifications in relevant areas.

Responsibilities

• Define, deploy, and govern control system architectures for automation environments.
• Develop and maintain PLC programming standards and reusable function blocks.
• Lead technical scope definition, integrated solution design, and project management.

Skills

Controls focal and technical knowledge

Strong understanding of RIA safety standards

Strong system-level troubleshooting skills
