Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Automation/Controls Engineer to design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives and robotics in a highly automated manufacturing setting. You will lead projects, upgrade Equipment, and drive continuous improvement to boost production performance and reduce downtime.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3–5 years' automation experience, with strong problem solving and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Polymer manufacturing familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3-5 years of automation or controls engineering experience.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes or equipment, preferably in polymer industry.
• Statistical analysis skills with ability to set and audit goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with internal project and maintenance teams, OEMs, vendors and contractors to design, install, start up new equipment and process controls.
• Specify PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, motors, drives, sensors and data analysis software per our controls standards.
• Modify PLC/DCS logic and HMI programs to improve equipment and system performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical or process issues at a high level.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing to production and maintenance personnel.
