Job summary

Bosch Rexroth is seeking a Controls Engineer in the United States to lead automation package design, from schematics to PLC programming and motion control. You will generate drawings, specify components, and support manual development for customer systems.

Responsibilities include programming PLCs/HMIs, motor sizing, control system integration, and field troubleshooting, with travel to customer sites as needed. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN P8 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with relevant electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop programming for PLCs, HMIs, and Servo drives.
• Set functionality and communication with customer control systems (Ethercat, Profinet, Ethernet IP).
• Size motors, drives, and overloads.
• Familiar with Safety Controls and circuits; calculate loads and voltage drops.
• Perform final acceptance testing and point-to-point checkouts.
• Interface with customer to resolve discrepancies in specs/drawings.
• Troubleshoot field problems for customers, sales reps and field techs.
• Develop/monitor schedule and cost for assigned jobs.
• Review customer specs and develop Automation BOM and estimates for Sales/Aftermarket.
• Collaborate with Sales/Engineers to determine optimal solutions.
• Estimate design/execution time and provide proposals.
• Travel to customer/vendor locations as needed.
• Maintain/modify drawings for standard offerings and customer applications.
• Implement Engineering Standards and tools.
