Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and implement electrical controls for material handling systems. You will program PLCs (Mitsubishi, Keyence, Allen-Bradley), develop HMIs, and integrate vision and robotics solutions, while collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure reliable automation from concept to installation.

This full-time onsite role in Georgetown, KY offers a hands-on, project-driven environment with frequent shop interaction and travel to customer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent discipline.

Responsibilities

Design electrical controls for material handling systems.
Program and troubleshoot PLC systems (Mitsubishi, Keyence, Allen-Bradley).
Design and program HMI systems (Mitsubishi, Proface).
Design, program, install, and troubleshoot machine vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, Omron).
Design, program, install, and troubleshoot robotic systems (Kawasaki, Fanuc, Denso).
Collaborate with customers to evaluate requirements and feasibility.
Oversee electrical fabrication and assembly with shop personnel.
Power on equipment, debug, and run in-house trials for validation.
Support on-site installation and commissioning at customer sites.
Balance hardware design and programming ~50% each.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
