Job summary

Humber Automated Systems, headquartered in Windsor, Canada with operations in Michigan, USA, seeks an Electronics/Controls Engineering Technician/Technologist to design and implement PLC-based control systems for turnkey automation projects. You will troubleshoot, verify electrical schematics, and support startup of automation cells.

Based in Michigan, you will collaborate with the team to solve engineering challenges, travel to USA and Canada as needed, and contribute to ongoing process

Qualifications

Technician/Technologist diploma in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
Ability to read electrical & pneumatic schematics and verify connections.
Knowledge of controls systems theory and PLC controls (Allen‑Bradley PLCs & Siemens HMIs).

Responsibilities

Design and implement PLC based control systems; edit, debug and troubleshoot PLCs.
Provide technical assistance during and after installation of automation cells (electrical controls, blueprints, tag verification, PLC & robotics checks).
System integration, safety PLC, robotics, electronics, network start-up and commissioning of turnkey cells.
