Job summary

PeakLogix, an Alta Equipment company, is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems for large-scale automated lines. You will develop control cabinets, generate BOMs, and coordinate with sales, engineering, and project managers on multiple projects.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical/controls engineering, proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, and willingness to travel 25–35% to customer sites on the East Coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred; not required to apply.
• Minimum 3+ years in electrical engineering or controls engineering roles.
• Experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens) and designing control cabinets.
• Willingness to travel 25–35% to customer sites; East Coast location preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC control programs for conveyor and automated systems.
• Design, build and test PLC control cabinets; generate BOMs and source parts.
• Lead technical interfacing with sales, engineering, and project management on projects.
• On-site installation and commissioning of systems; support post-installation commissioning.
