Job summary

PeakLogix, an Alta Equipment company, is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join our team. You will design PLC control cabinets, program the PLC, and support large-scale automated pick-pack-ship lines, including warehouse management system integration using Allen Bradley and Siemens hardware.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical engineering, experience with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC programming, and willingness to travel 25–35% to customer sites on the East Coast.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• 2+ years' experience with troubleshooting and commissioning PLC solutions.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test PLC control cabinets for large-scale automated lines.
• Program PLCs and support systems including WMS integration.
• Lead technical liaison with clients and coordinate with project management and external vendors.
• Generate BOMs, source materials, and assist installation on-site.
