Job summary
Tarkett is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support production processes at multiple locations in Ohio. You will lead electrical control system design, install new equipment, and optimize existing lines.
Expect collaboration with engineering, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to reduce costs and improve reliability. You will mentor technicians, provide remote support for night/weekend shifts, and develop capital requests with ROI justifications.
Qualifications
- BS degree in electrical/related engineering field.
- Minimum 3 years in plant or industrial controls.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, safety circuits, and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement plant-wide SCADA and MES improvements.
- Develop and support Allen Bradley PLC based control systems.
- Design electrical systems for new equipment with schematics and wiring.
- Configure and train staff on VFDs and control systems.
- Troubleshoot machinery and guide maintenance to root causes.
- Maintain PLC ladder logic and code for Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Mentor engineers and technicians in automation and controls.
