Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support the electrical, controls, automation, and process-control systems in a highly automated manufacturing facility.

You will troubleshoot and improve existing systems while leading automation, electrical, and capital improvement projects from concept through startup. The role requires hands-on PLC work, DCS/SCADA, and instrumentation expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years in industrial electrical, controls, automation, instrumentation or process-control.
• Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and/or Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
• Experience with DCS, SCADA/HMI and industrial instrumentation.
• Read electrical schematics, one-lines and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC-based control systems.
• Support DCS, SCADA and HMI systems for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, instrumentation and automation issues.
• Support industrial instrumentation, control valves and process loops.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks and protocols.
• Assist PLC-to-PLC and PLC-to-DCS integrations.
• Work with MCCs, VFDs, transformers, switchgear and distribution.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to improve uptime.
• Lead capital projects from concept through startup.
