CommScope is seeking an Automation / Controls Engineer with strong machine vision experience to own vision systems on a new production line in Shakopee, MN. The role focuses on end-to-end vision station lifecycle from camera selection to PLC integration, with hands-on responsibilities on production equipment.
You will work onsite on a 12-month contract, collaborating with automation and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable inspection performance and fast startup.

We're supporting CommScope as they build new automated production equipment for a fiber-optic connector product driven by hyperscale AI data center demand.
This role is ideal for a senior Automation, Controls, Applications, Manufacturing, or Equipment Engineer who has strong hands‑on experience with industrial machine vision and wants to take ownership of vision systems across a new production line.
You do not need to come from the fiber‑optics industry. The key is having recent experience building and integrating real machine‑vision inspection systems on production equipment.

This is not a software‑only computer vision role. We're looking for someone who has built and supported inspection systems on actual manufacturing equipment.
