Job summary
Johnson Controls is hiring an Automation & Controls Specialist in York, Pennsylvania, to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will oversee daily automation activities, upgrade equipment, collect data, and ensure high system availability while collaborating with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
The role requires 2–3 years in automation/controls, PLC/HMI expertise, and strong problem-solving; a Lean and data-driven approach is preferred.
Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational program or equivalent work experience in Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of automation/controls experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings.
Responsibilities
- Support automation and controls initiatives to advance Industry 4.0 objectives.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, and networks.
- On-site technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on implementation.
- Coordinate maintenance with trades and contractors to minimize downtime.
- Update system documentation and align with the technology roadmap.
