Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to design, develop, and deploy automated manufacturing systems for optical connectivity products. The role spans PLC programming, machine vision, robotics, and control architectures across production environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–10 years of automation experience, hands-on PLC/motion control, and strong collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams. Onsite operations at Webster; Rochester relocation planned.

Qualifications

BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience designing, programming, commissioning, or supporting industrial automation and controls systems.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming, motion control systems, robotics, machine vision, industrial networking, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy automated manufacturing systems, control architectures, robotics, machine vision solutions, and advanced test platforms.
Lead automation and controls development from concept through commissioning for new processes and product introductions.
Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, yield, uptime, and equipment effectiveness through automation innovations.
