Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Automation Controls Engineer to design and implement fully automated production systems. You will develop PLC, robotic, and motion control solutions within complex multi‑cell environments and work closely with a team to deliver turnkey manufacturing improvements.

The role requires 4+ years in PLC programming, familiarity with Fanuc/ABB/KUKA robots, and strong HMI/vision experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell).
• Background in factory automation, servo systems and robotic integration.
• Experience configuring and tuning VFDs, servos, and motion control components.
• Ability to write, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic code for new and existing systems.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting machine vision applications.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities
