Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a global specialty materials manufacturer located ~30 minutes south of Augusta, GA, offering full relocation assistance. This role supports an established controls engineering team within a highly automated facility.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and debugging Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC systems.
• Ability to modify and troubleshoot existing PLC programs.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, sensors, and industrial control systems.
• Experience working within an automated manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to industrial networking or OT systems is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, drives, and plant automation systems.
• Support automation across batching, weighing systems, furnaces, lasers, packaging lines, and other automated manufacturing equipment.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, commissioning, and new equipment installations.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and third-party vendors to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing performance.
• Assist with controls modifications, documentation, system improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support plant-floor automation and gain exposure to OT/IT network integration and emerging manufacturing technologies.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Controls Engineering team supporting a highly automated manufacturing facility. This position is an addition to headcount due to growth and offers broad exposure across plant automation, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. The company is looking for someone who enjoys solving complex controls challenges and wants to continue expanding their technical skill set across multiple manufacturing processes and technologies.

What You Will Do:

• Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, drives, and plant automation systems.
