Job summary

Eaton’s Power Components Division is seeking an Automation/CNC Engineer for on-site work at the El Paso, TX facility. The role focuses on deploying advanced automation, CNC manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 technologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations.

The engineer will lead equipment launches, optimize CNC programs, and support digitalization through machine connectivity and real-time data monitoring, collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
Manufacturing experience with lean tools, automation and CNCs; capital projects.
Experience with PLC-based control systems, electrical components, and CNC equipment; safety emphasis.
Experience with data acquisition tools and digital manufacturing concepts (IIoT).

Responsibilities

Lead equipment launch, commissioning, startup validation, and ramp-up to meet safety and production targets.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to maximize uptime.
Operate and maintain CNC machines; develop and adjust CNC programs for production.
Drive process optimization to reduce cycle time and improve OEE across manufacturing operations.
Lead Industry 4.0 initiatives: machine connectivity, IIoT data acquisition, and real-time monitoring.
