Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Machine Build Manager in Holland, MI to lead the Build Team on custom automation projects. This onsite role focuses on safety, schedule adherence, and budget alignment while delivering high-quality automation solutions.

You will develop team members, coordinate cross-functionally with project managers and engineering, and drive lean practices to balance cost, safety, and morale.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Certificate preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Proficient in reading part and assembly drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Strong leadership with ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the Build Team and other staff.
• Plan, direct, organize, and control the build process and related costs.
• Document changes and ensure they are communicated.
• Support project managers with customer service, runoffs, planning, and status reporting.
• May assume Project Manager responsibilities as needed.
• Mentor team members to reach high performance and lean practices.
• Promote and execute company initiatives with a focus on safety and quality.
• Provide timely customer service to internal and external customers.
• Balance quality, safety, cost, and morale in daily operations.
• Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving within the build area.
