Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, powers automated manufacturing and distribution technology worldwide. This full-time, on-site role in Holland, MI leads the Build Team to execute custom automation projects safely, on time, and within budget, while upholding JR’s quality standards.

You’ll work cross-functionally with project managers, engineering and quoting, mentor team members, promote lean practices, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Able to read part and assembly drawings.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects.
• 1-3 years’ mentorship experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the Build Team.
• Plan, direct, organize and control the build process and related costs.
• Ensure changes and problems are documented and communicated.
• Support project managers with planning and status reporting.
• Develop the Machine Build department through leadership, mentoring, and training.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, on-time delivery and quality.
• Address staffing needs and participate in interviewing.
• Promote lean practices and continuous improvement.
