Job summary

Qualifications
- PhD in bioengineering or related field with relevant automation experience.
- Master's with at least 5 years of directly relevant experience accepted.
Responsibilities
- Develop cross-cutting automation bioengineering efforts across BSD.
- Design, prototype, integrate, validate automation solutions for biological workflows.
- Connect automation capabilities across microbial, plant, molecular, and cellular systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and facility teams to develop hardware/software interfaces.
- Lead or contribute to projects and proposals advancing automation-enabled biology.
- Train researchers and staff in automated workflows and documentation.
- Coordinate planning with investigators and facility staff; define milestones and resources.
- Maintain detailed records to ensure data quality and reproducibility.
- Support laboratory operations, equipment readiness, and safety compliance.
