Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, invites applications for a Machine Build Assistant in Ogden, UT. This onsite, full-time hourly role supports the assembly of equipment, collaborates with Machine Builders, and ensures projects meet quality, cost, and timing expectations.

You'll document changes, maintain a safe, organized shop, and learn to operate Mill, Drill Press, Sanders, and Saws while upholding ISO/quality standards. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to read part/assembly drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in solo or team settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to obtain required licenses during employment.
• Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly of equipment and support machine builders.
• Document and communicate changes or issues during builds.
• Prepare materials and support secondary processes (finishing, heat treat, deburring).
• Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to ISO/quality standards.
• Learn to operate Mill, Drill Press, Sanders, and Saws safely.
