Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a skilled Machine Builder for our onsite operation in Nashville, TN. You will assemble custom automated machinery from ground up, perform mechanical assembly, testing, and assist with installation as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent with vocational training, basic computer skills, and strong reading of assembly drawings. Travel up to 20% and safety-focused performance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read drawings.
• Experience in automation or JR Automation environment preferred.
• Safe work practices with emphasis on quality and precision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom automated machinery per mechanical drawings.
• Document changes and communicate issues.
• Work with minimal supervision to build and test equipment.
• Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, shears, and presses safely.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and support secondary finishing processes.
